Sam, some years ago I was engaged and living with my fiancee, but she ended up cheating on me and we split. Ever since then I have had trust issues and it makes it really hard to form an honest loving relationship with a new woman because I feel that she might end up doing the same later down the road. I moved on from that hurtful time in my life, and I have forgiven my ex fiancee, but I still have trust issues and feel paranoid when entering a new relationship. How do I heal this?

Start by accepting the fact that you do not control other people. They do as they wish for their own purposes. Sometimes your purpose and theirs mesh but there is always the possibility that it will end. 

Once you understand that it is only YOUR actions which matter because the actions of others beyond your control.

So, where does that leave you? Sad and alone surrounded by cats? No, it doesn't although being surrounded by cats doesn’t seem sad to me. No, because if you can give up your attachment, your clinging, your demanding then you will be free to love and not until then.

NGC 2129

NGC 2129 is an open cluster in the constellation Gemini. It is a very young cluster whose age has been estimated at 10 million years.

NGC 2808

NGC 2808 is a globular cluster in the constellation Carina. The cluster currently belongs to the Milky Way, although it was likely stolen from a dwarf galaxy that collided with the Milky Way. NGC 2808 is one of the Milky Way's most massive clusters, containing more than a million stars. It is estimated to be 12.5 billion years old.
