I’m crawling out from under my rock to once again say that the Choices That Matter Series is seriously under appreciated. I’m like halfway through the second game (the stories in the games are unrelated as far as I can tell) and dvjjbfxxgjncxch I love it. It has:
Gender neutral language for the main (player) character
LGBT characters, some with romance options
Characters that are POC and actually well written
Supernatural/Fantastical elements and plot points
Morally gray situations that don’t always provide a clear right or wrong answer
The option to kill your driver IN TWO DIFFERENT GAMES ON ACCIDENT AND FEEL VERY BAD ABOUT IT BOTH TIMES
And more!
I will warn you that there is A LOT of death and violence in the series (in case that’s a deal breaker for you), and the save system is bad. There are no conventional save slots, the game only saves your latest progress and won’t let you go back to change your decisions. So If you want to make a different choice, you either have to save BEFORE the choice or replay the entire game. Edit: You can replay chapters, but not individual choices.
Each game is like $5 on Steam and the Nintendo Switch and also on mobile but I think mobile is like a monthly pass or something
