it’s such a cliché ! poor , sweet country girl gets lost in the big city sometime after midnight when her friends seemed too into their partying. brunette locks are combed through , body nearly colliding with the drunks roaming the streets as she tries to flag down a cab. the problem is that no one ever taught her properly how to do that. mumbled apologies are soon muffled by pouring rain , a short scoff falling from the girl’s lips as she makes a run for the nearest door. it’s a bar , of course , but it’s nearly empty.
eyes fall upon the closest stranger , rain dampening her hair quite quickly as she approaches them slowly. ❛ excuse me ? i don’t mean to bother you or nothin’. ❜ index finger is used to tap their shoulder lightly , trying her best not to really startle them. beth’s gaze flicks towards the rain slamming into the sidewalk outside the window , throat clearing quietly. ❛ i , um ... my phone got lost way back at a party and i don’t really know much about navigatin’ ‘round here. do you , maybe , mind tellin’ me where the nearest hotel is and how to get there ? ❜
