3.) What was the first thing you decided on, the character's name, appearance, personality or their role in the story?

well, given that he's based on a character in a skit, the only thing i technically "decided" on (at first) was his appearance and his role in the story, both of which still are a little inconsistent (part of the reason i haven't started working on the actual drawing part of their comic yet)

His name is the only part that really hasn't changed at all since the beginning though, so let's go with that lol

8.) What is the origin of their personality? And let's be honest - how much of it is projecting?

oh my god SO much of it is projecting LMAO

It not something I tend to do with my characters much, including my little meow meow Times, but with COMIC???

He's far from a self-insert but honestly the more I develop him the more he just turns into me if I were older and more well-adjusted gajsgsjgdklfdsgfhjkjhggk

I've had trouble finding song for him in the past, but this post inspired me to go though my own playlist, and I found a bunch to add lol (bonus points if you can guess which ones)

it's just occurred to me that my oc (Times) is like if Hunter toh didn't get disillusioned till he was in his late 20s, combined with BBC Arthur Pendragon if Merlin fucking died. Gonna stare at a wall for a while

14. What do you like drawing the most?

something I love that I’ve been trying for years to infuse into my art is weight

Weight + pressure interactions are super captivating to me and always have been. They make everything feel super real even in the most cartoony styles, and I’ve been in love with it forever. It probably comes from the animation masterpieces that are The Iron Giant and Disney’s Robin Hood (*shakes fist* Kahl and Baxter strike again…)

15. What do you like drawing the least?

Mouths are the bane of my existence…

And in character art, especially comics, backgrounds lol. I can do environments perfectly fine if I’m just doing the environment, but if it’s About A Guy then it’s either The Void or the vague shapes world
