some awesome shit coming to a CUBBFEST near you!
Vince Staples is a rapper and skateboarder from Los Angeles, CA. He first rose to prominence after being featured on a couple of OFWGKTA tracks in 2010 and early 2011, including Earl Sweatshirt’s “EpaR,” Mike G’s “Moracular World,” and The Jet Age of Tomorrow’s “Lunch Box.” In addition, he collaborated with LaVish on songs “She Loves Me Not” and “More Milli.” More recently, he has been working on solo material with producer Michael Uzowuru as well as Odd Future’s Syd The Kyd and Matt Martians. In June, he released the song “Martin Ruger King,” which The Fader described as “a good kid gone bad slow burner cut to a beat from fellow LAlien Michael Uzowuru.” His clever rhymes, smooth flow, slow-burning delivery and psychedelic beats have made him a standout on the L.A. underground hip-hop scene. With an upcoming headlining performance at this year’s Cubbfest, as well as a plethora of new tracks ready for release, Vince Staples is poised for a breakthrough. Come to Cubbfest and see him perform (with a handful of guests) before he blows up big!
