omg anon I have to admit that I had to break my brain to remember which event you meant until I suddenly understood. Sorry sweetie, I'm slow sometimes.

Kids aren't allowed at the prize-giving so Lewis and Max got a baby sitter for Lara and Elias and got themselves fixed in suits and went out to enjoy the night. No alcohol for Max, both because he got used to skipping it and because he wanted Lewis to be able to let loose a bit more.

Instead it turns Lewis into a sap because wheneveer Max looks into his boyfriends (fiancé? Hubby? pls I have no timeline in my au's they all get mixed up skdghdsl) direction while he's on stage, he sees Lewis taking pictures of him and it's so cute it melts him on the inside.

Lewis isn't being as soft as he seems though, because he's seeing Max surrounded by a lot of kinds and he realizes how their two little evils are very few compared to the kids that keep surrounding max.

He kind of wants more.

"You know I'll be there, where is it at?" She asked.

Fionna was glad to hear that he really was doing well, being able to make a living off of music was hard but if anyone could do it it would be Marshall. She found them to be pretty adaptive as well.

"No it isn't weird it feels right. I think that was something that stuck the hardest about having magic back in this world as it had been a few weeks ago versus what it had been before with magic. Cake being magical and talking, I'm glad things were able to work out without Simon having to wear that crown again."

➥ "Oh, nearby bar. Cool place, the owners seem to really like me. I'll text you the address, hold on..." He pulled out his phone, texting Fionna the address as he listened to her ramble about Cake.

"Yeah, that Simon guy... He seemed cool, wouldn't want him getting messed up like that." They didn't really fully understand that guy, but they felt a strange familiarity whenever Fionna mentioned him. And, from the sounds of things, that was a normal reaction.

After a brief moment of silence to collect his thoughts, he pressed his cheek into the palm of his hand. They were a bit overwhelmed by all of this, and they hadn't even been there. He couldn't fathom how easy Fionna had caught onto all this. They liked the idea of being a vampire, but at the same time... "Wasn't it weird, seeing all of those different versions of, like, you, and me, and everyone? I mean, seeing me, like... Killing people, being a monster, y'know..."

Maybe that was what was holding him up in all of this. They had enough experience feeling like a scary freak as a human, but thinking about how they actually were a scary freak in other universes...It kept him up at night. Was it awesome? HELL yeah. But they wondered, if the magic returning to this world turned them into a vampire, would Fionna still hang out with them? Would Gary, or Ellis, or...anybody? Would they think he was cool, or creepy?
