A Reflection of 2012
Before I go on and set my new years resolutions I wanted to take some time and reflect on this past year. When I come to think of one word that describes this year the only on that comes out in "interesting." I say interesting because in a lot of aspects of my life things have changed, whether it was for the better or not I still stand certain of my path. Thinking back on throughout the year so much has happened and changed. My life for the most part has completely flipped. New outlooks on life, love, friendship, career, family, passion etc have all been touched and somewhat shifted this year.
Love, this line between that and hate is so thin. Sometimes you think you know someone one day and the next its completely different but we are all only human and no one is ever perfect. We have all made our mistakes and the best that we can do is to own up to them. The truth hurts but just like the bible says " then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."-John 8:32. One thing I learned is to be more up front with people, life is too short.
My family, this year I had two relatives pass away in about a month. It wasn't their death that made sad because they both lived amazing long lives and if it was their time to go then the lord just gained some angels. What was sad is that my family has no central location of congregating. Who know how there is always that one house that the family always goes to for gatherings? We;; we don't have that anymore which why I am driven to get the house that I can invited my whole family. I enjoy hanging out with my family, they are my support system and now more then ever I feel their support. I thank them so much for continuing to believe in my heard and my passion.
Passion/Career, I have a new passion for acting and I am so curious to take it to the next level this year. At the beginning of the year I went from have practically a full time job that paid decently well to not having a job and completely following my heart. As hard of a decision it was, I still think it was the right one. I have started to work with the youth and I really have been enjoying it. Providing the kids with a vehicle to full something they love to do is extremely rewarding. I am happy to share my knowledge and experiences with them. I have also now fallen into ballroom, a new love, a new career. Taking chances are the only way to know the truth and answer the question "what if?"
Like I said this year was interesting, it has had its dark moments and its light moments. It was a year of taking risks and I have no regrets. I learned a lot about myself and where I want to take my life. A new focus has emerged from the darkness and I walk a path that leads me to my light.
