☾ : Sleep headcanon

She doesn’t like to sleep alone. Not sexually, even (though she probably wouldn’t say no). She has spent all of her life sharing sleeping spaces–in the rooms of the temple, all the other soldiers huddled around the campfire or in a cave–and now she finds she needs it, the presence of another, the quiet, steady breathing. Should they for some reason find themselves in such a nice situation as to have separate bedrooms, she would eventually come creeping into someone else’s room so as not to be alone.

☠ : Drinking/drunk headcanon

Buzzed Isra is all smirking all the time (not much different than sober Isra). Tipsy Isra often uses that as an excuse to hang onto attractive people. Drunk Isra has two modes: fighting or fucking. 

☼ : Childhood headcanon

Isra grew up in the temple. She has never formally met her twin, but a few times people in the streets called to her by a different name. Once she began wearing more blue, though, that stopped. 

☯ : Genderbent headcanon

So very little would change if Isra was a guy, really. He’d be lanky, not a big or tall guy. A similar penchant for as few clothes as possible.

Yes. But really, her first thoughts when she sees someone are generally along the lines of ‘can I screw them? can I kill them? which would be more fun?’

☮ : Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

Growing up she lived in a small room with another girl, but since becoming a warrior she sleeps in a larger barracks style room when she is there. 

☄ : Any AU headcanon (modern, school, medieval, and so on)

Modern (mob/spy/crime/something): Members of the order are allowed to go to university as long as it doesn’t interfere with their duties (they are flexible around finals after one soldier injured a dozen people when he was told he had a task at the same time as his calculus exam). Isra attends with a comfortable schedule studying for a degree in art history of all things. She is a decent student, but bad about getting herself (and sometimes the whole course) distracted.

⊕ : Talents/hobbies headcanon

She’s a doodler. If she’d been more inclined to a scribe’s path, she might have had the opportunity to become a true artist, but it was not exactly possible as a fighter.

☻ : Mood headcanon

She can go from flirting to “you’re dead to me” in .2 seconds flat. It’s been timed. 

✚ : health headcanon

She comes from a very isolated culture. She gets a lot of colds and stuff on this, her first real trip outside of their lands, but she is too stubborn to admit she’s sick most of the time. Occasionally this results in deliriously fevered Isra stumbling around the others. 

✿ : happiness headcanon

It might seem like she’s very shallow because her happiness is usually just shown in smirks or light playfulness, but that’s just her. She’s not a bubbly, giggly sort.

✖ : anger headcanon

She cold-shoulders a lot. And if you keep poking that shoulder, she’ll stab you with very few regrets.

♆ : body headcanon

She’s not strong (she’s not weak either, but, like, she’s got no chance at beating Shakil at arm wrestling), but she’s flexible and fast.

ϡ : mental state headcanon

She’s very solidly grounded in her religious and moral beliefs. If something started to make her waver in these, she’d probably lose it. 

ღ : love or sexuality headcanon

If it is humanoid, it is fair game. Oh, and not undead. That’s wrong and gross. 

♡ : relationship with Zarrinth

Isra likes her, but she never expects it to be anything more than a (long, adventurous) fling, because there’s no way that Z would become part of her people (she and I assume), so there’s no reason to want what will not be. 

† : religion headcanon

Even though she is on her own, or because she is on her own, Malehsa must still be appeased. She’s (somewhat uncharacteristically) private about this, occasionally disappearing from camp or the tavern for an hour or so and returning with no word about the bandage on her arm or other limb.

Foods are also just as new and foreign to her as the cultures that eat them, so she likes to try new stuff a lot.

“That’s what you said about the last three,” he said, turning to her, looking serious, a shake of his head. “I can only let you have one more on account,” he added. 

“What?” she asked, hands on her hips. “That’s ridiculous!”

A shrug. “Blame the economy.”

She narrowed her eyes up at him before sighing. “Guess I’ll have to try and get a good one, if it’s to be the last one for a while,” she said resignedly. 

He grinned a little, rising to the implied challenge and pulling her close for a deep kiss. Oh, she’d get a good one.

A moment of weakness Tobi/Gideon!

My muse is completely drunk and incoherent. 

More than anything, he wanted to hate the boy sitting crossed legged before him, wanted to look into his eyes and see nothing more than a weak human nuisance. Instead, he couldn’t help but run his fingers gently over the face that had somehow come to mean the world to him. “Fuck you, Tobi,” Gideon spat it. It was the alcohol talking, some logical part of him knew, but he couldn’t seem to turn off the anger that had grown from simmering to sweltering heat in a few minutes. 

He’d been well into his fourth glass when Tobias had walked into his apartment, dangling the key he’d had cut for him for emergency purposes only off of one finger, smug expression on his face. Gid couldn’t remember the last time he’d seen him look smug and the expression had ignited a fire in him, “I don’t want to see you,” he’d shouted at the boy, downing the amber liquid in the glass, before moving to refill his glass. Thankfully, Tobi had put a stop to that, moving both the glass and decanter away, and effectively cutting off his only way of coping with the emotions bubbling beneath the surface. 

“What are you doing to me?” The words were whispered, torn from some deep agonized part of him. His other hand came to rest against Tobi’s face tracing the lines of his cheekbones and nose before delving into the boy’s hair and pulling him closer. “I don’t want to love you.”

He trudged up the first flight of stairs. They were his least favorite thing about this apartment, particularly on nights like this, nights when he came home late and exhausted. He was halfway up the second flight when he looked up and saw Kitty standing at the top of them. One of his sweaters nearly swallowed her up, and the sleeves dangled past her fingers. He smiled tiredly. “What’s up? Why are you still up?” he asked quietly, coming to a halt a pair of steps below her on the landing. “You shouldn’t have stayed up.”

She said nothing for a moment before reaching up and grabbing him by the collar of his jacket, pulling him up slightly and kissing him hard. His hands were on her waist immediately and he made to move closer, but the stairs made it difficult. Breaking away for just a moment, he picked her up, encouraging her legs around his waist. “That’s better,” he murmured against her lips, then carried her into the apartment, kicking the door shut behind them.
