anyway. platonic cunson supremacy they are a gay man and a lesbian in my heart. au where we get chrissy befriending eddie and him supporting her and maybe inviting her to events he likes (hellfire, his band's performances, etc) and chrissy kind of being awkward at first but being in communities where people are more genuine and accepting and slowly becoming more comfortable with herself through being around eddie and other "freaks". and that also helping her realize there's a place for her within reach that isn't with her family, especially through maybe watching eddie's interactions with wayne. there is a miserable royalty of hawkins high to far happier freak pipeline i think. and it involves making a weirdgirl bestie.

YES that's the vision!!! if chrissy was still alive she would deserve a similar arc to what steve got. GOD the point about her watching eddie and wayne together <3 she needs a found family.

also i want hellfire to host an anti-prom that she gets voted prom queen at.

so much more interesting if perhaps chrissy was gay and so repressed and eddie comes into her life being a total freak and 1000% gay and helps her come to terms with everything and be more of herself at school instead of fake happy and trying so hard to be "normal"

it is! while we're steadily getting more gay characters in mainstream media, there's not a lot of focus on wlw/mlm solidarity. like i can't think of anything particularly popular that involves like a Gay Friend Group except for heartstopper.

and repressed chrissy would work so well and makes the tragedy of what the town thinks happened so much crazier. her boyfriend, who she never really loved—not like that, is hunting down the one guy who helped her find herself. obviously i think you're talking about an alternate timeline where she lives and is happy but if we're talking ST plot then i think repressed chrissy is fascinating.
