I love the headcanon that this cinematic (which makes no sense in the context of the game's story as it's presented) occurs AFTER the main story.
One of the things I loved about the game as a whole though, can be summed up with just three things.
1. Trample: Your giant tank and giant statues will hurt footsoldiers if you just tell them to run over them.
2. Fire while moving: They would fire... while moving.
3. The Land Leviathan, Glass Dragon, and City of Vengeance... so much fun.
