Ive never seen twitter fight so hard for a ship and hc that is making Santos straight AND into Langdon specifically. These people need help.
Now why are twitter calling Mel weird for "saying lots of nice things about Langdon" to her sister. Yall dont meet someone nice even after one shift and say nice things about them afterwards. You dont gel with someone and then miss them qhen theyre gone? I afraid shes normal for this.
You can see the Pitt having people in deep first fandom syndrome bc people are like omg dont ship mellangdon bc Langdon's married and its like (regardless of what i think is narratively satisfying personally) oh you guys have never been around this sort of block before 😭. Like Im in a fandom where divorce is foreplay for two old men (hilson) like youre stuck on adultery being a cardinal sin in shipping fictional characters.
Scrolling the pitt tag has really solidified how much of a hucklerobby hater I am (if you ship them have fun though).
Yeah so Santos is not "perpetuating the cycle" (of toxicity in the workplace?) Because she acts a certain way due to "terrible mentorship" (implies to be robby and langdon). First of al its very obvious hwr and Robby get along and she likes and trusts him 😭. Secondly, her behavior around Langdon is called trauma response from his verbal abuse and fear because for the past however many months people ostracized her for reporting him and now hes back and in power over her again. Like trinity is doing her best and despite the okay she cannot be doing this in front of patients moment (which wasnt even that unprofessional mind you, given what some of them have said in front of patients) peoples responses to her "demeanor" (which is far more quiet and meek than s1 given SHE HAS BEEN SILENCED???? And even Al Hashimi threatens her r2 year over charting as a temp Attending) is not her fault. She doesnt perpetuate anything surviving i fear 😭. She is i fear so normal and no she is not abnormal about potential child abuse, becauze her trauma around child abuse aside, shes the only one following PA law to report to childline whereas the show at large is like "Erm theres no evidence snd rhe kid says theyre fine so" (not their job legally at all).
Dont get me wrong I dont ship al hashimi and robby as any end game but I do think a casual situationship has the potential to make them worse or even better friends if a series of events happens first (emotional healing). But the opportunity to be worse is huge.
Not a moral statement fyi, but im a bit of a robby and Whittaker ship haterrrr.
