These Music Cupcake Cookies are a delightful treat for music lovers and anyone with a passion for sweets. They are soft, buttery, and adorned with musical designs that will make your taste buds sing!
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. 3 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. Assorted food coloring gel. Decorative icing pens. Sprinkles or edible glitter.
Instructions: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the bowl, mixing until well combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms. Divide the dough into equal portions and tint each portion with a different food coloring gel to create a variety of vibrant colors. Wrap each colored dough portion in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Once chilled, take each colored dough portion and roll it out on a floured surface to a thickness of about 1/4 inch. Use a music note-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies from the rolled dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once the cookies are completely cooled, use decorative icing pens to add musical details and designs to the cookies. Sprinkle with edible glitter or colorful sprinkles for an extra touch of sparkle and fun. Let the icing set and harden before serving and enjoying your Music Cupcake Cookies!
