Thank you! And yeah, literally Mandy Moore singing ‘Stupid Cupid’ from Princess Diaries had been the first thing that popped up in my head when I was trying to name the fic. 

I swear to god, I thought lyrics were ‘Stupid Cupid, stop hitting on me’ when it’s actually ‘Stupid Cupid, stop picking on me’. 

But the former sounds way more fitting for the fic, doesn’t it?

Stupid Cupid and number 11 💜

Heyyyy, Miss Pink! Thank you for the ask! And thanks for the distraction from Ficpocalypse at the moment. It’s only fair. (*wink wink at manifestation from earlier)

11: What do you like best about this fic?

I guess it’s the sort of world building aspect of it. 

I literally woke up the morning of Valentine’s Day, eyes barely opened, mindlessly typing into the Discord chat that I have with @blush-and-books and @lydias--stiles and birthed the idea on the spot before turning in again. 

Once I had some rest and we were riffing on it, the whole idea of Cupids and Love HQ expanded and I fell in love with all the nuances to it. Like turning something as archaic and magical as matchmaking into some sort of bureaucratic system was so much fun (definitely giving off Good Omens vibes). 

And just seeing what that could mean for Luke, who is what we think a Cupid should be, as someone who loves love and wanting to connect with people, while everyone around him treats love as some sort of job.  

I have some fun things in store that will reveal more of how the whole Love HQ/ Cupidhood works. 

I’m working on the next update, I swear! Just a little bit caught up with school at the moment. Ugh.
