I feel like the only characters that didn’t change and remained true to who they were are Justin, Toni and Tyler. The rest disappointed me so much with their behavor towards Justin. It’s like, he suddenly stopped existing for them and I would have understood that for a couple of characters but NOT Clay, Jess & Zack. They all started caring when it was already too damn late. Justin could have been saved if they all cared when it mattered. Instead, he saw nobody trusted him or listened to him and he internalized everything and kept his illness a secret. He was slowly dying and didn’t say a word so that he wouldn’t be a burden. He basically shared Hannah’s fate. Remember what she said before she killed herself?
“Some of you cared, none of you cared enough. I didn’t either and I’m sorry.”
If you apply these words to Justin, they are completely true for him as well. I still can’t believe this happened. It’s so fucking unfair. I’m so SO sad.
