Full name: Querubín (Cherub in Spanish) also Mont Blanc Querubín (after her adoptive father Mont Blanc Cricket)

Nickname: Miss Cupid (“Cupid”is her pseudonym as an artist and the “Miss” is added then by Sir Crocodile to use as code name for her once they are involved with each other.)

Age: Late 20’s

Occupation: Contemporary Artist/Art Historian/ Art Authenticator

What does the character like? Querubín is very fond of flowers and plants as they grow from soil— substance revered in the sky islands. Her husband had a garden constructed just for her and it’s her safe haven.

What does the character dislike? Querubín strongly dislikes manipulation, coercion and being deprived of her autonomy because of her upbringing. (Ironic, since Crocodile is the king of manipulation…) Physically, she is bothered by the tugging at her wings and the plucking of her feathers, which is difficult considering she sticks out like a sore thumb in most places, especially the desert kingdom. (However, Crocodile wouldn’t allow any stranger to lay a finger on her once they are an item.)

Adorning the lower half of her body are a violet long high-waisted skirt with double slits; a black pair of Mary Jane style heels adorned with a golden heart buckle on their straps with the soles in a contrasting color fuschia.

Jewelry: Gold heart drop earrings, gold bangles (one on each wrist), a golden thigh bracelet and her wedding ring that is an amethyst gemstone cut in the shape of a heart.

How they met: Querubín settled down in the city of Rainbase where she built a solid reputation as an anonymous artist using the pseudonym “Cupid” who specialized in anatomical pieces combining the delicate beauty of the local flora and fauna she observed during her childhood in Jaya and now in Alabasta. Her pieces gained popularity for their unique aesthetic as well as being featured in popular establishments seeking to attract more visitors (purchases via art vendors, etc. to remain anonymous). One day, she is approached by a beautiful tall woman with a special proposal… A commission piece for the owner of Rain Dinners Casino who expressed fondness over desert lillies and bananagators. Cupid is invited by Miss All Sunday to the grand reveal of the special piece with the promise that her anonymity would be respected as well as exhibiting other artworks that had also been purchased alongside the main commission piece. Once the casino’s owner made his entrance, Cupid was gobsmacked witnessing opulence incarnate, feeling a rush of pride once he began to express his fancy. The man was perfect yet imperfect and she couldn’t help but admire him from afar. What she didn’t know was that the man had piqued his interest for a while, having noticed her particular appearance, making Nico Robin keep tabs on her. As the evening progressed and guests were leaving, Crocodile approached her with a smug smile, “Superb work, Miss Cupid”. After the initial shock had passed, Crocodile insisted in wanting a detailed walkthrough of each exhibition piece with her on his arm. The rest of the evening was spent conversing about her artistic skills, about their shared fondness of animals, her small feathered companion… and the part of her anatomy that made him think of old stories involving entire civilizations built atop clouds. Miss Cupid was eventually chosen by Crocodile as Miss All Sunday’s assistant in managing the art market in Alabasta while also creating more pieces to display at the high class establishment that is Rain Dinners. This was only the beginning of what would later become their long courtship… The rest is history as they develop strong feelings for each other and eventually marry. The original commission piece is still displayed in Crocodile’s private office.

Baroque Works: Basically, agents ranking closer to Crocodile would usually be burdened with the bodyguard job while he is busy in his office.

[Nico Robin/ Miss All Sunday] Nico Robin and Miss Cupid bond as a result of their lines of work/study (Archaeology and Art History) going hand in hand (it is also the reason Querubín met Crocodile in the first place). Nico Robin is also fascinated by Querubín’s homeland as it was believed to be a myth and so Robin wants to know more about it. They are quite fond of each other and develop a close friendship in time. Being able to study a living breathing dinosaur (Berry) as well is certainly a bonus!

[Daz Bones/Mr. 1 ]To Daz, their relationship is strictly business, yet Querubín still appreciates him all the same. She thinks of Daz as a gentle giant and makes sure he knows how much his work and dedication is appreciated.

[Bon Clay/Mr. 2] Their relationship is sweet and they consider each other friends rather quickly. Bon-Bon is the first friend she made on her journey away from home!Querubín adores Bon-Bon and is happy to have them around. They can often be seen having tea with Querubín and Marianne in the garden.

[Marianne/Miss Goldenweek] Their relationship is a lot like Big Sister/Little Sister as well as Mentor/Student. Querubín is very supportive of Mari’s artistic prowess as well as expressing fascination in regards of how the girl uses her abilities. They have a good bond too! Querubín helps her learn more about art and encourages her to experiment, which Marianne appreciates greatly.

Originating from Little Garden, her egg had been stolen by a traveling merchant looking to make good money off of it in Mock Town’s market. Upon arriving on the island of Jaya, the egg was stolen again by a hungry South Bird who attempted to take it back to its nest in the South Grave rainforest but dropped it beforehand due to its weight. Luckily, it was found by the young girl who saw the bird drop something. After inspecting the extraordinary egg, she decided to bring it back home with her to try and identify what it could be and to not abandon it to predators. (Paying forward the kindness the Saruyama Alliance showed her). Querubín took care of the egg until it hatched, not only revealing a species she had never seen in the rainforest, but a dinosaur nonetheless! However, the two quickly became inseparable and so ‘Berry’ became part of their small family (and also becoming the subject of many life drawings).

Croc’s birthday consists of him taking the day off (on Cupid’s request). His day is spent relaxing and being taken care of by his wife. He’ll be spoiled rotten with lots of homemade cooking, tender massages and lots of affection. Anything to make him feel relaxed, loved and happy! It would be very intimate and soft tbh 💜
