so crazy 2 me that millicent n sadie were both born in the same year (1941) bcuz they feel so different. i always associate milli w/ the 1980s bcuz it's her peak in terms of her career in science n also the peak of her being utterly insane w/ her coworkers n also when she met greg(!) when by that time sadie was married n settled n living a rather quiet life. n i associate sadie w/ the 1960s bcuz she was being polyamorous n smoking weed n going 2 poetry slams n shit while millicent was spending that losing her mind over her post-grad n being engaged 2 a man old enough 2 b her dad. so i guess the point is they're both modern 20th century women in VERY VERY different ways
