"And I suppose you have a better alternative? Don't keep us all waiting..." A very slight shift in stance, perhaps standing a little taller - not in a manner of belittling, but more so ... impatience.

❝ Any chance you’re up for another round? ❞ There’s only the slightest possibility she’s biding her time before returning to work by stalling for as long as she can. Besides, Celestial Jade is very immersive and distracting, it’s easy to get swept up in! Though now Qingque takes great care not to break her wrist playing. Again. For as much as she enjoys the healer’s company, she doesn’t want their time to be spent tending to another injury. @curafidelitas : sc
“Hey! Hey hey!” She barely even gave her chance to stop and wait before she’s climbing up her back. Arms wrapping around her back and her tail wrapping around her waist to keep her steady on Guizhong's back. “You’re not leaving me behind with stone man. No way.” // Unprompted @curafidelitas (Bailu)
Would this ever be something to which she would acclimate; this sensation of little hands and feet clambering up her person, and clutching herself to her back and waist as this little one had become much too familiar doing. And yet, her lips always tugged into a smile ever bright, and ever true, and more often than not, the laugh it would emit from her rivalled that of the brightest sun in Teyvat. It tickled, even when she'd long since settled on this self-proclaimed perch of hers; every twitch of her tail around her waist and across her stomach calling about a return of that gaiety she knew so well. And as always, just as she did now, a finger poked, and soon thereafter toyed with the strands at the tip of her tail— who was surprised that it was tangled? A mess, just like Bailu herself, always was and would remain. She was nothing other than endearing, however.
"Stone man?" If the prior laugh hadn't filled the space enough before, it certainly had now. "Is that what we have resorted to calling our beloved Morax?" It almost bore too much emphasis, too much focus, but perhaps it was done entirely purposefully amidst their company. Perhaps proof of this was when her glance travelled up soon after, travelling across a physique that she'd known far too well, during which the remnants of her merriment altered and warmed to something much more affectionate. He would always warrant it, even amidst jest such as now, where he found himself, yet again, as the unfortunate recipient. "Alright, alright, I understand. I too, would be afraid to stay alone with the likes of him." While phrasing and tone had sided with she who had been clutched to her back rather relentlessly, her actions seemed to find some empathy with their victim. And so, when she'd finally resumed her pace and crossed his side, the smallest brush of a hand met his own in temporary goodbye, and perhaps— in this reality where she'd never quite stopped smiling, she could lean in briefly enough, as if her lips craved to press the gentlest kiss to the bare expanse of his shoulder before the departure that'd mark their separation. And yet, with her company at her back; she knew she'd have to forego such affections. And so, instead, her fingers lingered amidst his own, just for a moment longer.
"Alright, little one." It marked the continuance of both a new task and a new jest's victim, and so when her hand had no choice but to falter from Morax' own, that one too, travelled to her tail and soon fiddled with the fur across its length. A little more stubbornly so, just enough as to ensure no hasty retreat could follow suit. "I think it's rather time for a bath— and luckily for you, the springs are rather warm."
