What are those random shooting pains in my prostate?
Sometimes I will get these very random shooting pains in what I’m guessing is my prostate. I can’t exactly pinpoint the pain but I assume it is my prostate because sometimes the pain will travel or to my penis. These pains only last for a split second. It’s like a quick electrical shock, comparable to biting tin foil if you have a filling. I would say they are a 9 on the pain scale, enough for me to tense up, but the pain itself only lasts for a second and does not recur very often.
The frequency is totally random. Sometimes I’ll go months without it happening, sometimes it will happen 5 times in a day. Relatively infrequent. Happens whether I’m sitting, standing, laying down. I am a healthy 21 year old with no other health ailments whatsoever. I have researched prostatitis but have gathered that it mostly effects older men and I don’t have any other symptoms besides the shooting pains. Another thing I have heard of is a prostate growing pain. Does anybody have any insight of what this may be? I’m more curious than concerned.
