Hey Katy! This migth sound a little bit silly but how do you know the difference between a bootleg gashapon set and an official one? (By the way ive been following you for a while now and guuurl! you´ll always be one of my favorite blogs :D )
Firstly, thank you so much! <33
Secondly, it's pretty easy to spot the differences between the bootlegs and officials once you know what to look for. The bootlegs are always of lower quality. The paint often looks messy and hasty as opposed to neat and well-done. Here's a guide you can use to try and help spot bootlegs!
The first set of gashapons (featuring the Inner Senshi and Black Lady) is by far the most commonly bootlegged set. Basically every time you see one of these sets for sale they'll be bootlegs unless the price is in the $50+ range. Also, bootlegs are usually only one piece whereas legit gashapons are made up of several pieces. Here's an example of an official verus a bootleg (official is on the left)
If you're ever unsure of whether or not a gashapon is bootlegged, I can always help you try to figure it out! I can tell almost immediately by looking. Also, if you're still unsure, you can try and ask the seller to post more pictures. The guide I linked to includes a section on where official gashapons have their copyright markings; if a figure is missing this, it's probably a bootleg.
Hope I helped!
