I sometimes wonder if other people secretly knew the sailor guardians true identities, doesn't usagi's mom imply at one point that she does?

It’s heavily implied that Naru knows! At the very least, she knows something is different about Usagi and vows to be there for her even if Usagi can’t tell her the truth (Naru is such an awesome friend, dude).

Usagi’s parents also express that they feel she’s matured very quickly. And in the Stars arc of the manga, Ikuko breaks down crying when Usagi leaves to fight Galaxia because on a subconscious level she can feel that Usagi might not come back.

I definitely feel like the people closest to the Senshi are vaguely aware that they’re special and have changed in some way. They just decide not to push it and ask questions. I do imagine that once Crystal Tokyo comes to fruition, all of the Senshi reveal their identities.

Obviously sailor moon is the title character so she'd obviously get the most character development, but is the series being called sailor moon and not sailor guardians still really a good excuse for the other characters to not get any development?

Very gently holding your hands as I say this, but you’ve sent this question to me 3 times now and have also been sending me messages about pitting the 90s anime and the manga against each other. I’m not really interested in putting down any iteration of a series that means so much to me, nor do I think people should be looked down on for preferring the anime over the manga or vice versa.

Respectfully, I’d like you to stop sending in negative messages like this. I’m not mad or anything, I just wanted to let you know how I feel :)

For those who don't know: Ikumi Nakamura is the woman who was senior artist on Bayonetta, and designed the titular character along with Hideki Kamiya. Their greatest moment of bonding was over their insistence that Bayonetta keep her glasses on at all times. Nakamura cannot go to horny jail. She is the warden.

my cat is completely obsessed with watching the bathroom sink drain and I have started calling this "her shows." as in when I'm in the bathroom and she meows and runs up I'll be like "oh you want to watch your shows?" and run the faucet for an extra few seconds so it fills a little. she will then sit there at the edge of the sink for ages totally entraptured by the drain. blorbo from her sink

Did you see the teaser for ribbon hero? It looks like a magical girl (or at least magical girl inspired) movie that takes a lot of inspiration of princess knight. It’s definitely at the top of my radar of things to look out for the future!!

When I was at the natural history museum, the fossil section had stickers on the glass to engage children - things like "Flap your arms like a pterodactyl" or "Measure your hand against the mosasaurus." However the first of these I encountered, which I found alarming and threatening without context, was a sticker reading "Struggle like you are stuck in a tar pit"

I feel like more bright colors, an exclamation mark, or a more whimsical font choice would've also helped here to indicate that it is a Fun Activity For Children. Instead it felt like getting instructed in my inevitable fate by a road sign
