Gwen confronts him about it, on a Wednesday afternoon in early October, when the temperatures are just starting to drop and the chill stays biting a little longer in the morning. “You should talk to him.” Merlin startles from his daydreaming. The man came in this morning, not in his usual business suit but a red hoodie that looked worn and comfortable and matched the colours of Pendragon as closely as Merlin can remember them, and Merlin had been transported back a thousand and a half or so years.
