Saudi Arabia buys 5% of Nintendo

Yep, it's one of those Posts again. Look, I don't want to insult anybody out there. I just think It's time we have this Conversation. In case you didn't get the News: Saudi Arabia bought 5% of Nintendo. It's just really weird that a certain Percent of a company that always claims to make games for all people no matter the Age, Gender other Characteristics and that I personally really loved as a Child is now partially owned by a Land, that doesn't allow half the population on Earth to get a Passport. Since I live by myself, that would be illegal too. I must say, that I'm no expert in any way. I never visited the Country and I don't have any Degree that would allow me to claim some Things I heard as True or False, but from what I heard, it doesn't sound like a great Place. Again, this is nothing against anyone who lives there and likes it. You do you. But I get an eerie feeling if I read things like: Women aren't allowed to get a Passport. Women aren't allowed to marry how they want. Domestic Violence. Discrimination in Employment and Healthcare. I also want to address some Counter-Arguments I heard: 5% isn't much. Yes and no. Just image for a Moment you lose 5% of everything you own. Does this sound fun? Now image you getting 5% of the Price from every time somebody buys something on Amazon. You would be rich in a matter of Hours, Minutes, probably even seconds. You see, 5% can be a lot under the right circumstances. What I'm trying to say, that Numbers can be very confusing on how big they actually are. That's just a Business Decision. First off: It's NEVER just a Business Decision. If you're believing that, then I guarantee you somebody uses you for his or hers advantage. Second: I couldn't find out if this means that they have more saying in any further decisions, but that's usually how things work. Who knows, maybe they want to change their Image and Nintendo would be a good Partner for that. But I don't think that it works out in the consumer's favor. It's less them saying: “Nintendo, what about Mother 3?” And more about: “No, Zelda doesn't need to be playable in BotW2.” (These are just examples, but you get the Point.) With 5% you could influence the Direction of Nintendo in a way that suites your believes more, and I think that's a Problem. Let me know what you think about this down below. I promise the next pose will be more lighthearted again.
