I'm not saying my curse jar worked, but I'm also not saying the coworker who was causing problems had a good day today.

I'm not saying my curse jar worked, but I'm also not saying the coworker who was causing problems had a good day today.
Don't fuck with my friends.
A curse jar. The target's name written on a slip of paper, pierced with a pin. More pins, nails, and thumbtacks. Added chili powder, cayenne powder, red pepper flakes for irritation (and maybe some burning in sensitive places...) poppy seeds for hallucinations and nightmares. Black salt for banishing unwanted forces. Garlic for exorcism and purification. Lemon juice and pickle juice to eat away at him. Bound with black thread, sealed with red and black wax. Sigil on top is for selfishness backfiring. Last step is to wrap it in duct tape (to protect bystanders from anything breaking) before throwing it in the trash. Where he should go.
Curse Jars
My favorite form of cursing or hexing is the “set it and forget it” method. Basically when I make the jar I give it a clause, nothing will happen to the target unless a certain attribute of the spell is met. No harm will come if no harm is done. I usually make these jars after I have been harmed in some way or if I have a feeling someone is wishing me harm. Because this form of magic isn’t causing direct harm immediately I put it in a sort of gray area of cursing/hexing so if you’re iffy about chucking curses around I would recommend trying something similar. I’ll make a poppet of the target and place it in the jar with herbs, sour liquids, or pointy things depending on the level of severity that needs to dealt. Then I’ll take the jar and place it in a location where it won’t be disturbed for a long while. If I do happen to remember the jar or stumble upon it later I’ll give it a little shake to refresh the energy inside and then set it and forget it again.
Hey Mama Bree, I know you use a lot of powders in your work, but do you ever make curse jars? If so, do you have any advice on how to make and maintain one?
I have in the past, yes. I haven't had a need to make one recently, apart from occasionally adding a name to the Timeout Pickle Jar.
This is an example of a curse jar that I came up with some years ago. It was for vengeance at the time, but it could just as easily be turned to other purposes by adding herbs or items that correspond to the desired effect. I always recommend sealing the jar with wax or duct tape to avoid leaks or spills.
There are some curse jars that are meant to be kept and maintained or used, like a jar full of nails that you shake whenever someone is an asshole to you. And there are others, like the one linked above, that are generally meant to be made and then discarded with your trash. The only reason I'd keep that type of jar around would be if I had some inkling that it might need to be disassembled or reversed at some point, in which case I might opt to go with a binding rather than a hex. (Personal preference, your mileage may vary.)
Practically speaking, if your jar starts to stink or leak or if it cracks or breaks, throw it away. This is less for magical reasons and more for cleanliness. A curse jar that cracks or breaks on its' own MAY be an indicator that something is going awry, but it could just as easily be an indication that the contents have decayed and built up pressure that eventually caused the container to fail. A bit of divination may help to determine whether there's a problem with the spell, keeping in mind that all divination is subjective, but I tend to assume a mundane cause before a magical one.
Hope this helps!
A coworker of mine has this scream jar she uses when she’s frustrated at our boss. Made me think: add a taglock, and you have a lovely little curse jar. Scream into it whenever the subject does something to fling that stress right back at them.
Storytime: so my ex and I broke up in June. It was a fucking mess (mostly her fault, but I will take accountability for some of it) and she was shitty to me. Recently she asked me to send her winter stuff back because she left it. I did, didn't realize that my winter stuff was in there too. It was like pulling teeth to try and get it back. Well, without announcement, someone (likely not her because she's too much of a fucking coward) came and dropped it off at my door with no announcement. She put a letter in there blaming me for the breakup. Full of absolute nonsense. No self reflection whatsoever. Then she had the fucking gall to include every single thing I'd ever knitted her. I put so much love and energy into making these items and I had TOLD HER THAT before. It was out of fucking spite. Welp. Jokes on her. The hat she sent back had a hair on it and that just got put in a fucking jar with a bunch of other nasty shit. Jokes on her. Have fun suffering bitch. Good fucking riddance.
Gonna let it all sit and marinate in the jar and when I'm ready I'm going to put it in the toilet (it's all flushable stuff) take a steamy shit on it and flush it away. Play with fire, you get burnt. Bye bitch.
You’ve Done Me Dirty - revenge hex jar
A hex to make somone suffer emotional torment for a past action
Note: This is not a curse only a hex. It wont give your victim depression or anything crazy like that, it will just make them feel sad and guilty for the thing your getting revenge on them for
ingredients:
small Jar
red candle
lighter
lemon juice
cayenne pepper
chili pepper
salt
thyme
spit
place all these in your jar, seal it with your red candle. While sealing think of your victim and what led you to do this, channel those negative emotions into the jar. You have now created a hex jar
Does anyone have a list of spell jar and curse jar ingredients that they could link me to? Been looking for one and can't find what I'm looking for. I'm particularly interested in ingredients used in curse jars and sour jars but ingredients used in any spell jar either positive or negative would be great!! :)
