i just watched Cursed (2005) and i agree with so many other reviewers - it was mid but it had the potential for so much more! and this is coming from someone who loves what Wes Craven directs is involved in.
from what i read, production fucking sucked on this movie making it this mod podge of high profile actors (for the early 2000s) that i honestly did not care about. ironically i feel like a lot of the things that made the production bad were addressed in Scream 3 (producers scrapping perfectly good scripts, demanding rewrites and reshoots, etc.)
i’d love to get my hands on that original script just to see what could have been. i’m also in mourning for the practical effects that got changed to the gross CGI. all in all, it’s a fun campy movie. i liked Milo Ventimiglia’s character arc (specifically the sexual allure lol) and the subversive element to the monster was so good. 7/10
