Review: There is almost a romantic quality to this film that took me for surprise from the start. The sparkle of the dresses and eerie buildup to the trance like acting of the siblings Odile and Christian played by Sharon Tate and David Hemmings which add a weirdness to the film that keeps things on their toes. The slow descent from dreamlike to nightmare for the main character was an enjoyable watch however there was a lot of unanswered questions left by the end. So prepare for things to just happen without explanation or context of meaning. This film does feel maybe slightly older compared to some of the other films coming out at the time with camera tech and fx but still a nice watch.

Overall I give Eye of the Devil (1966): Worth the Watch🍇

Things I'm looking forward to in The Last Jedi? All things Rey & Luke. Rey's parentage revealed. Luke's flashbacks at the temple. Luke & Rey vs the Knights of Ren lightsaber battle. Hoping to see Kylo go further down the dark side (no redemption arc!) & lose a hand (it's the second movie in the trilogy after all.) Rey be tempted but not succumb to the dark side. Regretfully, I don't watch Rebels (yet.) Came late to the party and I don't have a means to start from the beginning.

Thanks for sharing. So yeah, Rebels is pretty hard to get your hands on.  It can get pretty expensive buying DVDs or episodes online since the channel Disney XD you have to specially order if you have TV service. Hopefully, some day it’ll be on Netflix.

So for TLJ I agree with most things. Though I don’t care about who rey’s parents are. The fandom ruined it for me. I don’t think it’s that important to Rey’s arc. I’ve taken Maz’s word to Rey to mean that perhaps found family is what maybe lies ahead for Rey.

I’m here for more lightsaber fights, a more dark side Kylo Ren, and a strong Rey and Luke dynamic. I also want to see Finn taking lead in the resistance and hitting hard blows against the FO. Finn and Leia would really get along.

We’re going to get so much Luke Skywalker angst from this film I’m going to be able to wallow in it every night at 3am for several weeks.
