Kusouzu (lit. Nine-phase diagram) is Buddhist paintings that depict the state of decaying corpse in outdoor in nine stages. In the year 7 of An'ei (1778), Gennai tried to deconstruct the Kusouzu. The "iconography of impurity and impermanence" was the exact opposite of Kusouzu "iconography of purity and permanence". Gennai envisioned a blueprint called "nine stages of pregnancy and Nine abortions" which is terrifying for this world, and it seems to be named "Kusouzu of Conception". However, he could not realize this "Kusouzu of Conception". Why? That's because in the following year, Gennai was imprisoned for a case of murder, then he died due to illness in prison.

Shimazu Yoshihisa and Sakamoto Ryoma are legendary figures in Japanese history. Oryo is Ryoma's wife and often depicted as a dragon in legend (thanks FGO).

Blue fly head), is the name may be taken from "Flyhead"? There's a report that said the original inventor of the dish was related to Tei Bunjaku, however the whereabouts of that record is unknown today.
