Belle and Adam were on their way back to the castle from a visit to the village--Adam’s first since his return--when the storm blew in seemingly out of nowhere. Remembering his reaction to the storm his first night home, and remembering how his horse had returned without him the last time Adam had been out when a storm had blown in, Belle reined Philippe closer to Adam’s horse and reached out to take her husband’s hand. “We’re already past the bridge. We’re almost home. There’s nothing to worry about,” she soothed.
