He stares at you blankly, the words barely registering for several long moments. Then it occurs to him that he does feel enough unrest to feel inclined to 'bash someone's skull in.'

The cat-like demon has been staring at his own reflection in a nearby puddle, confused and entranced. Who was this demon? He barely recognized himself.
But the metallic clunks of armor drew Cursed from his dissociated trance. He neck cricked and cracked as he looked back behind him, head tilted at unnatural angles. He sooner pushed himself to his feet, though travelled in a crawl, pushing aside foliage to see the painfully obvious target among the leaves.
All the other demon could see was a single glowing yellow eye among the shadows.

Well... apparently it does, but all the mentions of egg so quickly makes him think of something else-- the food, rather than the demon.
I guess being dead for so long kind of makes a cat mummy hungry...
