(Part 1) Hey carol pls help me!! So I have a friend group at school made up of me, my best friend and the guy that we both have a crush on. Recently my best friend and the guy have gotten together and im really really happy for them to the point where i no longer have a crush on him.
(Part 2) BUT he's now jealous of me because he thinks my best friend is spending too much time with me instead of him. ur right in that it’s not up to u (or him) to decide how much time ur best friend spends with either of u, or who!! provided she’s safe and happy, it’s entirely up to her and it’s not anyone’s place to tell her who she can or can’t hang out with, especially seeing as u guys are best friends?? idk if i’m reading too much into this but in general re: abusive relationships, abusers tend to try and isolate their partner from their friends so... this is lowkey a warning sign... but then again i’m not fully informed on the context and i don’t know them as well as u do. maybe tell ur friend about the situation and get her to sit down and talk to him about it??
