As concious beings, we are forced to balance the poles of objectivity and subjectivity. Perhaps we should state these two poles as quantitative and qualitative. To confuse these two poles can be destructive for both culture and innovation; therefore, I challenge you all to evaluate which things are objective and which are subjective, and then engage with reality accordingly.
Our culture’s attempt to over subjectify everything has led only to the destruction of human exellence. Moreover, it has weakened our ability to collect with one another and build upon legitimate and objective goods. To render the world entirely subjective is to destroy the recipe for a better future, as this route produces no tools for valuing constructive truths.
