Fantasy Football Custom league idea
I'm thinking of new version of fantasy football ( in addition to keeper/redraft leagues) where you redraft between half and all of your players every 1-4 weeks of the season depending on the settings you set for you league. League setting examples: you keep your first 3 picks from the initial draft and everyone redrafts once a week. Another example, you keep 5 players of your choice each draft and you redraft every 2 weeks. Another example, Complete redraft every 4 weeks.
I think that would introduce some really interesting draft dynamics and make things like schedule and bye weeks much more important when drafting as you're only looking at a few games for the players rather than a whole season. It also means you're gambling more on the players performances by week rather than on the whole year which would mean value of each player would be constantly fluctuating, e.g. someone like adrian peterson could end up a 3rd round pick that week because vikings have a tough match up. I think it also keeps the game competitive for the entire season because injuries and busts become less of a factor which often ends up with several people quitting before the end of the year. You could still do PPR/Flex/idp all the variability of the current rules. Not suggesting this replaces the current style but just another option. Does something like this exist? if not, thoughts/reservations?
