BALTIMORE - A train derailment west of Baltimore in Ellicott City early this morning (Aug. 21) has damaged Verizon facilities at the site of the accident. Some Verizon customers in the area may have trouble completing long-distance calls, and data services for some business and government customers may also be affected.
