This is @kevinetaylor Writer, Producer, Thinker, Speaker, Supporter. When he commissioned me to create not one, not two but three Natalie Cole album covers i thought it would be a breeze as I had already been doing caricature tees and sweatshirts for some of my other clients. When creating , i'm always in my head about making sure i do the best job possible because at the end of the day, i want you guys to be happy. Hiwever, this was something else. I met Ms.Cole in Hampton, Va in 1975. My mom and Aunt were able to go back stage and the way i remember it, i thought she was a relative the way they were carrying on 😁 knowing Kevin's relationship with Ms.Cole made me feel like a caricature would be disrespectful and I stressed. Alas, that is what i do so i went about creating and i messed up a few times before finally feeling like I had captured the essence of Ms.Cole. Sent it off and received these images. Everything negatively i felt about my abilities dissapated upon receiving them.
