Here's where I'm at with goth Barbie: Decided to go with fabric markers to dye her hair. Some were time set, some heat set, so there's been some trial and error. Red seems to magically wash out no matter what I do, except there's some on her scalp. Blue kind of stays, purple and black kind of stay, but as you can see, the further from the roots the more likely it was to wash out or turn gray. Also, the first time heat setting the colors I frizzed some of the hair, but it's not terrible, and really not that bad for a first try. At one point I used a regular paint marker on the hair to see if I could layer to black faster with it, and I think it helped, but I had to rinse out a lot of it out before it dried completely because dye and paint are not the same thing here. ~ I really don't mind the fade to gray look she has, but my goal was really dark hair, so I'm going to keep layering for a bit and see if I can get it to work. If not, I'll make this work. :) . . #barbies #barbie #barbiefriends #cutebarbie #cutebarbiesofinstagram #barbieadventures #barbiefashionista #barbiefashionistas #bykylelefort #artdollwip https://www.instagram.com/p/CAMbUL5JoOa/?igshid=irl1mkdwra7p
