Day 90
Friday 20/06/14 - Day 90 - Before work today I went to the dentist for a quick clean, and then had brunch with Susie, who I haven't seen in literally a year or longer! We were supposed to meet up at 11:30, but I got to Central around 11:10, so had to wait. Unfortunately she was late (not to mention our other friend Nathaniel, who didn't even turn up at all..... but that's a story for another day, i could write an essay on the topic -_-) and we ended up meeting up closer to 12pm. We went to Devon Cafe, which looked amazing, but unfortunately they had a 30min wait for a table, so we walked around Surry Hills for a while getting lost, before settling for DiBella Cafe, a small and relatively unknown place.
I got the chicken haloumi wrap and a cold drip coffee, and Susie got the pulled pork burger and a chai latte. The food was very good, but of course the prices, since it's close to central and there's so many hipster places around, were quite steep. The cold drip coffee certainly isn't for everyone, but was something I really wanted to try. And those chips were absolutely gorgeous - they were made out of cheese or something (will have to google them...) and were fluffy and delicious. Overall was a very satisfying meal.
Unfortunately we both had work at 1pm, so we had to eat really quickly and head off, but it was great to catch up with one of my good friends from earlier in my uni degree, and to listen to her bitch about full time work haha. Looking forward to entering that stage of my life myself!
