The youngest of the second line hops up and clings to his big brother’s waist veeery tightly, as if scared that Quick Man was going to run off again. “Where’d you go this time?? How long are you staying?? I missed you!”
Rhythm blinks, staring at Key in confusion for a minute before realizing he probably ought to return his youngest linemate’s hug. He hadn’t expected his kid brother to be so excited to see him! (Honestly, he hadn’t been expecting anyone to be happy to see him, but that was besides the point.)
“Oh, uh...” How exactly does one explain to their brother that they’ve actually been home for the past few weeks and just avoiding everyone? “Here, there, n’ everywhere! Y’know me, Key. But I’ll be sticking around for a while, I think... The world’s big n’ bright n’ beautiful, but home’s where the heart is.”
...The fact that he was actually missed causes the faintest of pink to bloom across Rhythm’s cheeks, and he chuckles weakly as he ruffles Key’s hair. “I missed you too, little buddy. Say, what’re y’ doing?"
