Coffee may reduce risk of cancer
According to Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences studies link caffeinated drinks to reduced cancer including skin carcinomas.
Coffee helps kill off damaged skin cells that would otherwise turn into tumors. By drinking a cup or even apply it on the skin it can ward off non-melanoma cancer.
So far, the study has been done only on mice exposing to UV light. Before you start lathering coffee all over your body and head out to the beach, wait for more studies to be done. In the mean time, grab a hat and make yourself a cup of coffee.
