Five years ago I sent out a Christmas Grim Reaper tree decoration by way of a seasonal greeting. Which rather suggests that I felt we’d reached some sort of cultural/political nadir rather than merely a brief stop for refreshments on our long plummet into the infernal abyss. Ah, what a sweet, naive young fool I was back in those days.

So in a similar spirit of festive nihilism but with no accompanying sense of having yet reached the bottom, here’s my cut-out-n-keep 2020 souvenir superspreader, to help ward off unwanted viruses until it’s your turn for a vaccine. My work for my shop may be all behind the scenes right now, but if you like trying to make things yourselves, I highly recommend Cut Out & Keep!  I discovered this site back in high school when I was in a sewing club. There’s tutorials and projects for a huge variety of things. They also have book giveaways and sometimes hold contests with some pretty neat prizes. You can even post your own projects and tutorials. I have an account there and sometimes post tutorials on how to make things I don’t have in my shop. Even if you aren’t that crafty, its a great place to start learning. There’s a wide variety of experience crafters and DIYers on the site and they have something for every one.
