Hihi I'm too tired to write this all again but I wanna talk about Lugene rn

People seem to only see Luke's character as "Eugene's friend" or "Eugene's boyfriend" and in their defense, Luke doesn't really have much in the second game. But I wish people could focus on their friendshil before a relationship, or the interactions they have whether it's platonic or not. I would prefer that over erasing their entire arcs and personalities and ignoring the entire purpose of their relationship in the first place to just make them date. Eugene has a bit more focus on him and they are their own character, but with Luke, people seem to just erase his character and personality for the sake of being Eugene's partner. Don't get me wrong, I love them together, but at some point people stop seeing it as Luke x Eugene and more of Eugene (and Luke) if that makes any sense.

I can't find much content of the two just having a friendship or their interactions /before/ developing a crush. There's a bunch of things they can do without dating, and I ship them. They're kinda the only romantic relationship in the games that make sense, but people need to remember that Luke is someone seperate from Eugene and vise versa. I've also seen people ignoring and erasing Eugene's entire character for the sake of just being Luke's partner, and It irks me a little bit.

I know they're semi-canon, and I love them so much!! So so much. But PLEASE I swear to God, stop erasing and stereotyping them for a relationship that wasn't needed.

I would love if they were dating, but I also want people to see why they could be a couple other than unnecessary shipping, like how they'd interact WHILE developing a crush. Like inside jokes, interests, all that jazz y'know?
