I know that getting ghosted is like a fairly common issue these days in the world of online dating culture and whatnot, but like...I'm still just aghast at getting ghosted in the situation that I did. Like, genuinely, how are you going to meet someone organically on a trip abroad and go on the most charming dates with genuine banter and chemistry and comfort, be the one to suggest keeping in touch, talk to that person for months, agree to that person visiting you (when you live five hundred miles away), tell them you're so glad you met them, and then decide, after speaking to them like usual, that you're going to ghost them? Like girl what? It makes no sense? You have such an easy way out and so little at risk by just telling that person you don't want to talk anymore? And also, why are you throwing away such a rare and interesting connection? I think romance truly is dead and we're all doomed probably.
