As a gaijin girl in Japan, it’s sometimes hard not to feel like you’re going up an escalator backwards - thrilling but also kind of exhausting.

Thoroughly enjoyed! ^o^
HA! xD
the story of my life…in less than 20 words :P
Pretty sure I've contributed at least 1,000 of this song's 65 million views on YouTube :D
Well, if I'm gonna rave about ONE favorite anime, I may as well rave about them ALL...but only of those that I've watched beginning 2014! Otherwise, there'd be WAAAYY too many~
So..
Zetsuen no Tempest..LOVED IT!! So much awesomeness packed into a mere 12 episodes 0_0.
And NUMEROUS wtf moments! (the good kind :P)
What's more, I absolutely LOVED the OST, even though there was only the two songs.
The opening was initially only for kicks (since it's all in English...or rather JANGLISH), but considering that I now know ALL of the lyrics and have "rocked out" to it on several occasions, I officially approve!
THIS song, though, is DEFINITELY one of my favorites!
You can most certainly expect in to be in my 2014 reflection video~
#singitkylee ^^
Silver Spoon (銀の匙 gin no saji)!!!
Definitely one of my favorite animes that I've seen this year and probably ever~
It's so beautiful...TvT
Seriously, this single "cartoon" made me reconsider going to graduate school...#epic 0_0
MUST BUY ORIGINAL MANGA!
With the arrival of a new year comes yet another round of goals and personal aspirations...ones that will hopefully be accomplished this time around -_- One of my goals for 2014 is to better document my experiences. Whenever I reflect on my life, I always have this nagging feeling that I didn't do enough. (Though I may have done a bit TOO much in 2013...You know, getting my license, taking a picture with the shirtless models in Korea, getting an internship at one of the leading organizations on North Korean human rights, and all that...) But I realized that it's actually not that I didn't do enough, but rather that I don't remember most of what I did. Thus, I feel that if I take more pics and vids of memorable things, then at the end of this year I can compile them into a movie and remind myself of just how good things were~
So in an attempt to start this project off right, I've revamped my blog (tumblr) and am noting my first "memorable event" of the year: New Year's Day, 2014. I know I said I was gonna do this whole blog-thing last year, but yeah...no. But THIS YEAR I'm serious! I even came up with a new name for it: "LADORUNA." It's a blend of my 3 personas: Latoya (ENG), Doya (KOR) and Teruna (JAP). This is my concept for the new year...now, I don't exactly know WHAT that concept is at the moment, but I intend to be able to explain it by the end of this year! So wait for it!
And because I feel that I'm already off to a good start, instead of this being a year of new beginnings, 2014 is instead my year of...continuation lol
