❝ sorry to interrupt but I thought it better to let you know that all eyes are on you. ❞ such amusement carries within her tone as she stood idly along the sidelines next to him, a grin etched upon her lips, a mere embodiment of her overall demeanor. still, anastasia is aware of what is hidden within such formality of these events. this party, with all its grand intention, serves as a trifling matter when it comes to hidden alliances and the importance of how an individual behaves. she's not sure whether or not the other is aware of such atmosphere given how he has gained the attention of quite a few, but she finds him interesting; had he been brought over as a guest? or maybe, she just hasn’t been paying much attention as of late?

          she  had  been  unpacking  her  boxes  all  day,  staring  outside  her  window    -             wondering  who  was  living  in  her  old  house.  her  mom  and  dad  were  out  for  a  bit  to  get  something  from  the  store,  so  she  was  home  alone.  hazel  N E E D E D  some  time  alone  though,  her  parents  were  driving  her  crazy   -           not  giving  her  time  to  breathe.  she  lifted  up  her  head  when  she  heard  the  doorbell  ringing,  sighing  deeply  and  stood  up  to  answer  the  door.  when  she  opened  the  door,  her  eyes  met  two  unfamilair  eyes   -          making  her  raising  her  eyes.      ❝ hello ??  can  i  help  you ?? ❞

              ★- Annie had been telling herself that it was a terrible idea but she had needed someone to attend the family get together and no one but Mason knew that she wasn’t human. She knew that if she started avoiding things like this that the questions would ask her what was wrong, “I know things haven’t exactly been the best these past months but thanks for agreeing to come with me.” Annie was doing her best to try and put the fact that he had told her exactly had he had felt about her in the back of her mind -- but she found it hard when she knew that she felt the same way. “You don’t have to stay for the whole thing, I just didn’t want to show up here alone.”

leafs crunch underfoot and her skin prickles with the faintest gust of wind. she glances up, the sky is overcast — DREARY, and she wonders if it’s made to match her mood. steps are made clear, matching the thud of pulse she can feel within her ears. she’s waited a LONG time to let him know of her decision, unsure and AFRAID of the reaction it will cause but this had been long kept quiet and now is the right time to let someone know. ❝ do you have a moment? ❞ it must have been a couple of months since she’s lost her family to this terrible outbreak, but she must move forward —— she doesn’t BELONG here.
