Picture this. Youre in an American city, browsing the aisles of a corporate drug store, trying to remember what you came in for. The shelves are fully stocked. You’re less than six feet away from people, and no-one has the crisis politeness face on, because there is no crisis. Over the loudspeakers, the soft rock hits of yesteryear play.
