Eli didn’t know why Jordan was so insistent that they do homework together, nor why he was so insistent that they do it together at the Kent Farm. Eli didn’t know, but in the end, he rolled over and drove them back in his Jeep. Maybe it was a good start. He hadn’t had to make new friends since Kindergarten, so, maybe in Smallville, that’s how it went.
“I don’t know, man. I’m pretty sure they found Richard III in some parking lot, didn’t they?” Eli said as they pooled over the homework at the dining table. He looked up shortly, hearing the door open. He kept his eyes on the homework and the twins, twitching his pencil between his fingers. “Hello!”
“I thought I might have a few more years before I became of any interest to you,” Nettie turned to where he heard the man land. He spun his flute at his fingertips. Part of him was terrified, heart racing in his chest like he could feel it bouncing off his ribs. Superman? Superman spelt trouble in a way a traditional cop didn’t.
He hadn’t even done much tonight - it was a recon night, checking on a few leads, crossing off children who were suspicious but not in need of his kind of interference, seeing if there was literally any other avenue available that didn’t involve his very last ditch kind of effort. “Am I getting put away tonight?”
The witchlighter had certain duties she had to keep up with, but she didn’t understand how her innocent was a primordial being. Or at least that is what she got from the long winded discussion. “You look a little lost,” Melinda told him looking up from her table where she had been reading off a document.
@cwdcbitches asked: “How much of that medicine did you take?” -Clark
“Get off my butt, I only took-” Eli mumbled, his words a little sluggish as he looked at the bottle again. He blinked owlishly, and held it up to Clark. “I don’t remember.”
@cwdcbitches asked: “What have they done to you?” -From Clark
Eli had already been breathing hard. He didn’t know how to heal yet, and the shackles were burning and tearing into his wrists. He didn’t think Mr. Kent would show up. He barely thought Scott would show up. His breath caught for a moment, shocked that the man was here and maybe-
“Hu-” Eli started. Hurts. Eli leaned forward, so confused. He was so fucking tired. So fucking confused. Are you really here? “Mr. Kent?”
@cwdcbitches answered: “…didn’t know where else to go…”
Clark couldn't say he was expecting Eli to show up in the middle of the night, banged up and bruised in the pouring rain. But he was glad that he had come to the farm house rather than staying out in this. “Your always welcome Eli, come in. I'll get you a towel, and I'm sure we've got some dry cloths that'll fit you.”
He stepped to the side and pulled the door open farther as he spoke, he figured Eli was probably around Jon or Jordan's size. And if not he was pretty sure that there were still some of his old cloths in boxes in the attic his Mom had never gotten rid of.
Eli picked up his flannel and quickly tried to wring out what he could of the icy rain water. It probably wasn’t cold enough to ice, but now that he’d been out in it for so long, he felt freezing. He stepped in once he thought he got enough out and shook his head for the water droplets in his hair. It was so much warmer inside.
“Thank you, Mr. Kent,” Eli said. He resumed wrapping his arm tight around his chest, shivering in his place. “I didn’t know, I was hoping.”
This is just Derek ending up in Smallville, based on my threads on @cwdcbitches with @grandtheftjeep, very likely won't make sense if you are not Noodle. After this, he explains the things he knows happened and how he met Eli etc etc but I wanted to get to the starter
Derek didn't know how long he had been running, but it had been too long. He was tired, even with the extra boost he'd gotten from the full moon and the weird burst of energy the daylight seemed to be giving him. The only thing keeping him going after a day and a half of running was pure adrenaline and stubbornness, and at this point he had no idea where he was.
All he could see for miles were fields, occasionally broken up by clusters of trees and long roads. That was where he fell over, near the edge of a field by a road mostly obscured by tall grass as his exhaustion caught up with him and his vision went black. He could swear he remembered hearing what sounded like someone appearing next to him, the feeling of being lifted, and then everything went silent too.
The next thing he remembered was waking up in what looked like a barn, a man who looked way too much like him to be a coincidence standing on the other side of where he was situated on a pile of hay bales. "Where am I and who are you?" He stood slowly as he spoke, eyes flashing to red and nails growing longer as he did his best to inch himself both away from the man and towards the door. But then he caught a scent, Eli had been here - or near here at least.
Before the other man could answer he had moved, he caught his hands before his claws could sink into him but he seemed to be struggling a bit. If he was human he shouldn't be able to fight him off at all when he was at full strength, but then again he probably wasn't quite there with howling he'd been running. "Where is my son?" It was less of a question and more of a demand, the growl in his tone a clear threat even if the bared fangs weren't.
"Your son is fine-" He wasn't entirely sure if he believed him, but it did allow him to relax just a bit. "I asked my boys to get him to come here, I figured I knew who you were. Derek Hale, right?" Derek wasn't able to answer before the man twisted his wrists away and pushed his head down, he hadn't even felt the heat building like he had the first time. The man used the hold he had on him to push his eyes against his own forearm, presumably so he didn't burn down the barn they were in.
When he let him go the sleeve of the guys shirt was burned up, but his arm seemed fine - maybe a bit red and irritated like he'd touched a hot pan. Nothing like the damage he had done to the agents that had come after him on that rooftop though. "How... What is going on?" He didn't know if he expected answers, but the guy clearly didn't seem to want to hurt him.
"That's a long explanation, for starters? I'm Clark Kent, and I'm pretty sure that you're an attempt to clone Superman."
Clark could understand how Derek must have felt in regards to Eli, because he felt the same about his boys; even more so since Jordan got his powers. Children were what carried on your legacy, for better or for worse that was true.
“Why don't you talk about Peter? Did he do something?” Most families didn't ostracize members for no reason, even if in some cases those reasons were....questionable.
“I didn't say you were a baby, but if your sick enough your puking in the shower? I'm not gonna leave you alone and just hope you don't pass out from dehydration.” He'd stay himself though if Eli didn't want people he didn't quite know yet hanging around.
"Uh. I'm pretty sure he killed my Aunt Laura. Dad's sister," Eli said. He didn't think about the words too much, they didn't carry much weight to him. It was old news to him, something that could be brought up in passing but not much more. "And a bunch of other people, I guess."
He shrugged and took another drink of the Pedialyte. It felt weird in his belly, but he knew enough that Da- Clark wasn't about to leave if he couldn't even get it down. "I'm not gonna. Not after one night or whatever, my health is tougher than that."
