20 Th. June ….today went to Capel Rhondda Hopkinstown just outside Pontypridd,the site of the very famous hymn Guide me o thou great Jehovah or Redeemer…..first written in Welsh by William Williams in 1745….translated to English by Peter Williams in 1771….then music that we all recognise today composed by John Hughes in 1907. He changed the title from Rhondda to Cwm Rhondda and was first performed in the Chapel pictured above on 1st Nov 1907. Walked there with dad,got a lift home with Ron…..been lucky with lifts….luck or help from above….. Pilgrimage going well x
