               Family came first. He always told himself that. He made that promise to both his father and brother before they passed away. All that was left to him was a sickly sister, who seemed to be spending every other day in the fourth division. Sure, she was a shinigami; and one who was fairly talented in her field. But there were simply too many times where she would work herself to exhaustion and pass out.               It seemed every time it happened, they would come calling for him. Yet this time she seemed so much colder, so much less responsive. It was always like this; her laying, unconscious in the bed, while he sat in a chair in the corner of the room, waiting for some sort of news.                Soon enough, the shinigami tending to this room made their entrance. Yet he did not have the ambition to lift his head and look at them. Instead, he kept his gaze in his lap, while his hands absently fidgeted with the rings on his fingers.                “I feel like she’s never going to get better. She’s always like this…”
