Gaius and Lissa is going to be a thing if it's the last thing we do tbh.

Lost Little Princess
Longing eyes fixated on the horizon, staring as her slender frame leaned up against the windowsill. Everyday it was the same thing, stuck in a tower without the company of any but herself. Keeping herself busy had long since become a tedious task--because, honestly. How many times could one repeat themselves before growing weary of it?
Every single day for as long as she could remember, all she knew was the very small world contained within the walls of her tower. Other than her guardian who came and went as needed, there were no other people. Lonesome was a term that often described the small girl who would try to distract herself with artwork, needlepoint, even cleaning. Anything to try and pass the time. But, in the end, it seemed that most of her efforts were futile. Besides, her handiwork had always been particularly lacking, anyway.
The outside world was a mysterious place, forever to remain unbeknownst to her. Only the tales that had been shared with her by her parental figure granted her any knowledge of what it was like, how it was filled with ruffians and thugs and people who wanted nothing more than to use or harm her. And yet, all she longed for was to take a step outside the cylindrical walls and see for herself just what the world was like. Because, she'd seen pictures in books. How could something so truly beautiful...be so bad?
There was one day of the year that brought her immense joy, though. And that was a day that rapidly approaching. How, for whatever reason, every year the sky would fill with colorful, floating lights without fail. On her birthday, no less. Every time she inquired about them, her questions were brushed off with the mere insistence that they were simply stars. In spite of that, Lissa had never been convinced that was the case.
"I want to see them..." she sighed, head falling to rest in the open palm of her hand as her eyes lazily drifted towards the sky, thinking about that pleasant reverie that maybe one day she might be able to see them not from her window, but in person. And oh how she longed for that distant dream to become reality.
Because no matter how hard she tried to neglect the thought, there was that omnipresent feeling that somehow, somewhere, those lights were meant for her.
"...Someday."
