Fate’s Design

A young woman who looked between sixteen and eighteen years of age emerged from her small home, placing the rock in her hand on the ground. It was time to go scavenge for what parts she could find. Couldn’t get any portions without them, after all.
Slinging her staff over her right shoulder, she made her way over to a land speeder, carefully swinging herself over and starting up the not too large machine. In another moment or so, she was off, speeding down the sand dunes and into an area where a ship crash landed, abandoned and ripe with spare parts. Oh how pleased this made her since now she’d have enough food for at least the week.

A little while later, the scavenger returned to her ride with parts in a large bag. Attaching them to the machine, she made sure it was well held down before getting back on and heading toward her home.
- This will be enough to eat for days!
A renewed sense of optimism washed over her as she reentered the small village like area, making her way over to get the portions she so sought. Something felt...off, but at the same time, what did she know? Looking around her, hazel eyes scanned over the tapestry, around the corners and bends, and even snuck a peek into one of the tents. Despite her efforts, a source could not be found. Whatever it was, whoever it was, they were very strong. How she knew that, the girl wasn’t sure, but what she did know was that there were two individuals scouring the market place that she had never seen. It wasn’t exactly that she knew everyone on Jakku, but a great many, enough to notice a stranger when she saw them.
- I wonder why they’re here..
