Leonard looked at Jim with a deadpan sort of look despite the smile and gestured to the little kiddos around them. "Gotta set the right example for the kids, Jim," he said, squeezing Jim's hand a little. 

Today it was Jim and Leonard's job to act as little tour guides for the children. How Jim got put on the roster when he probably should have been in the meetings, Bones could only hazard a guess or two. Leonard soon turned his attention back to the kids. "Alright, kiddos! Everyone have their buddy? Who's ready to explore the bowls of the Enterprise?"

“That means you sure as hell better have peach cobbler with you,” snarked Bones from his desk that had all the various PADDs of notes and course work he had to still complete.

The stability and success of his family and friends.  Though he seems to have everything all together, Silas has a sometimes crippling level of self-doubt and no real concept of his own worth as a person beyond a few shallow traits.   But if his existence positively affects those around him, then maybe he does deserve to exist, and maybe he’s not a terrible, worthless person.  If his little brothers grow up to be stable, healthy human beings, then it isn’t so much of a shame that they had to be raised by him.  If someone actually misses him then maybe he isn’t just a walking side of beef.  Maybe, god forbid, people do like him, and he isn’t doomed to wander space alone.

SPARRING. Despite his size, Silas is more about speed and agility than brute strength. This is a carryover habit from his days as a tall, scrawny teenager hustling basketball on the street for credits. Grappling is also a big tool in his arsenal.

BRAWLING. This motherfucker fights dirty. These days it’s less punching (gotta protect those surgeon’s hands) and more slamming people into walls and breaking bottles over heads. He’ll kill too, if he has good reason to.
