Inca Jay (Cyanocorax yncas) by Mike Barth Photography https://flic.kr/p/2oqb1hu
I have a thing for corvids, in all their feisty intelligence, and absolutely adore these Inca Jays (Cyanocorax yncas). - These jays make truly otherworldly, spaceship-like noises within their extensive repertoire. - While in the wild, I’ve enjoyed bizarre sound “conversations” with a party of them while observing one another. - This one was particularly curious of me, following me around closely inside El Bioparque La Reserva. - Maybe it was me who got too close, in the end! - This Biopark immerses the visitor in the same environment as the animals and plants in order to change the behaviors and approaches of humans with respect to the conservation of nature. - Corvids include jays, crows, ravens, nutcrackers and magpies - just to name a few. - @bioparquelareserva is right outside of Bogotá! - Go immerse yourself in their rescued wildlife and poison dart frog breeding program. - #corvids #cyanocoraxyncas #incajay #greenjay #biopark #bioparque #lareserva #colombia #bogota #cota #cundinamarca #wildlife #conservation (at Bioparque La Reserva)
